Application - For transfer of bulk material via suction or low pressure discharge where abrasion resistance is the primary reequirement. Designed for a wide range of materials such as dry cement, salt, feed and slurries.

Construction - Tube - 3/16" thick, black abrasion resistant rubber.

Reinforcement - Wrapped piles of polyester fabric and helix spring steel wire.

Cover - Black thick cover, corrugated O.D. for maximum flexibility.

Straight or Plain End

Plain ends are generally furnished on wrapped hose with wire reinforcing, unless otherwise specified. The plain end is obtained by merely cutting to a specified length.

Soft End

All wire reinforced, hand-built hoses are available with soft ends. The soft end has all construction elements except the wire. Soft ends permit leakproof clamping of the hose because the wire does not overlap the coupling shank.

Enlarged End

Hand-built hose, either wire reinforced, or wrapped hose is available with enlarged ends. The hose end is enlarged to accomodate the O.D. of a nipple.

Built-In Nipple

Wire reinforced, hand built hoses are available with built-in nipples. The nipple is built into the hose as an integral part of the body. Commonly used in the petroleum industry.

Capped End

Capped end is rubber ring vulcanized over the exposed carcass fabric. This seal prevents wicking action of exposed carcass fabric.

Duck & Rubber Flange

Duck and Rubber Flanges are rubber flanges with steel back up rings built into the hose at the factory. rubber covering on the flange is the same as the hose tube stock, and is determined by the type of hose service. The flanged ends provide a liquid tight seal when bolted to a mating flange...specify drilling arrangement when ordering..

Beaded End

Beaded ends may be ordered on any hand built hose with a smooth bore - hose I.D. is unrestricted. Normally used on hose handling chemicals and abrasive materials - split rings permit quick and convenient hose rotation for long life... bolt holes may be quickly aligned with this type of back-up rings.
