Air Performance Belting and Solid Woven Polyester Air Slide

Bi-State Rubber, Inc. provides two unique styles of polyester belting to meet the exacting demands of the pneumatic air conveying industry. Polyester belting is also used in traditional conveyor belt applications where high strength, low elongation and resistance to moisture are needed in a woven belt. Polyester belting can withstand a maximum continuous temperature of 225 ºF and an intermittent temperature of 275 ºF. Both of our Polyester styles can be slit and heated to width from wider rolls.

Air Performance Belting (APB) is an innovative product used for aerator pads and air gravity conveyor for handling materials such as cement, aluminum, sand, gravel, flour and fly ash. APB products are lighter weight than equivalent designs and require less super structure support. They have extremely low elongation and are more rigid than other designs. Air flow is more uniformly controlled which will allow better conveyance of materials. There is a substantial cost savings in using APB belting over conventional Polyester Pneumatic Belting.

Solid Woven Polyester (SWP) is the traditional style of belting that has been used in similar applications for many years. It is able to be spliced and should be used in systems where the belting is in motion. It also can be used in stationary systems.

Air Performance Belting (APB) is available in three air permeability ranges: low, medium and high. Airflow is controlled between 0.50 and 1.75 cfm on a half-inch water gauge, depending on the style selected. APB belting is designed for stationary or pad applications. The stocking width is 50.5 inches. These full width rolls can be slit and heat-sealed to any width, down to 6 inches. These three products can be special ordered up to a width of 120 inches.

Solid Woven Polyester (SWP) in traditional belting configurations is also available in three air permeability ranges: low, medium and high. Airflow is controlled between .80 and 2.45 cfm on a half-inch water gauge, depending on the style selected. These products offer more flexibility, ease of splicing and are designed to be running belts. The woven width is 50.5 inches. These full width rolls can be slit and heat-sealed to any width, down to 6 inches.
